Hi! I'm Eli. I’m a product designer based in Philadelphia, currently pursuing my undergrad degree in design and computer science at UPenn. I’m a firm believer that design and engineering go hand in hand. As a student in both disciplines, I have the pleasure of weaving together artistry and imagination along with simplicity and functionality to solve problems. There’s nothing better than seeing many moving parts come together to make a finished product.
During the 2020-2021 academic year, I took a leave of absence from UPenn to be a product designer at Thrive, a CRM platform for executive recruiting. I led discovery and design on a few neat features that were purchased by multiple Fortune 500 companies and are used in the hiring process for executives at those firms.
I’m currently a fellow at Contrary, a venture fund backed by founders from Facebook, Tesla, and Reddit. The fellowship is a select and diverse community of the top early-career engineers, designers, and product minds working in technology.
I’m also a product designer at Penn Labs, a student-run organization building tech for student and university use. I work on the iOS mobile app, Penn Mobile. I’m also a teaching assistant for CIS 110, a computer science class at UPenn.
In my free time, you can probably find me barbecuing, watching Mad Men, or playing the crossword. ✌️
